Rain, Rain and Rain….. even on the Sunday morning, thought that the Sedim ride will be cancelled… Surprisingly, sharp at 6.45am, our Bullet Tan and Ah Hin(King of Tokun) reached White house with full enthustias. So, rain or shine.
Followed up by Speedy Moy, Edmond, Rocket Chin & PC Tang (ride from their home), Yeap, BH Lau & his friend (national badminton player), CK Tan, KK Tang and finally HK Lau and Rocco come over from PG….SiPeTeng also just woke up and thought the trip will be cancelled, who know all the junior are fully equipped and waiting for him to lead… Only Alberto’s team, Gan and Wooi’s team are given excuse to chicken out…...
Yesp, everyone are getting excited and get ready even it was again raining….. We divided into 2 groups as planned with 55km and 38km route to Sedim…. Ride started at about 8.00am with 55km route…. While junior’s team start about 30 min after as waiting for SiPeTeng to brush up….
We all ride steady with avg of 30-35km/h up to Labu Besar leading by PC Tang….., stopped by in almost every main junction to quickly check and ensure everyone are coming…. After Labu Besar, Ah Hin is leading the team till km24 where Bullet Tan and Rocket Chin starting take over with avg speed of 35-40km/h….. Speedy Moy, Rocco, HK, Edmond, PC and Barrack are excited and follow up closely behind them…. Stopped by again in main junction of Kampung Baru Kejai at km-28 waiting for the rest to arrive, as usual Yeap is riding slowly due to water flow on the road and don’t want himself and his unique diamondback to get dirt… Disadvantage to The king (Hin) as there is no hill slope on the way, and he is slightly behind first batch that arrived lead by Bullet/Rocket/Speedy……
Time for Ah Hin to revenge as there was some hill slope (100 - 200m hill slope) after the Bukit Hijau junction to Sedim town…… this time, Rocco, Hin, Rocket and Speedy Moy are leading all the way… Speedy Moy was initially behind, but catching up with avg speed of 40-45km/h… damp fast…. HK, Barrack and PC ride steady behind…. Bullet’s GTS having problem on the break, so keep him slightly behind (time for him to change bike lah)…. But still faster than Edmond (lazy guy for uphill) and Yeap (worry himself get dirt). Finally we arrived in Sg Sedim at about 9.45am…. having couple of pictures and taking about 20 min break, then we started to ride back using the shortest route with ~30km back to KHTP.
Where the Junior team???? Yeap, they finally decided to turn back before reaching the Labu Besar as one of them (BH) is having leg cramp…….
On the way back, we stopped by in Karangan for Chay Moi, however it was too early for the Chay Moi to get read, so end up with enjoyed fry rice, fish and etc…. After the meal, start heading back home, strong wind and rain again when approaching KHTP…… we all finally arrived safely at about 12pm…. Overall the ride is fun, riding from heavy rain, till no rain and back to rain and strong wind again….WE ALL ENJOY IT… Looking forward for upcoming Crank’y events…. Cheers, Crank’y Boleh!!!
