Sat Ride update Jun 27- Sg, Ara Hills

It should be relative short ride up from sungai ara to carpet with few new comers like See Huat, Dang, TW and the rest. But we ended up with long ride up several hills thanks to our uninvited guess Danny. It is a tough but fun trip. The single trek trail is challenging, the slope is steep at certain part but the durian smell in refreshing. That’s the beauty on this trip. Furthermore, with the guidance from Danny, u can expect a lot of push from him to make everyone “boleh”.

Sunday Ride- Nibong Tebal Jamboree

Guys, it is Jamboree. Let's be there earlier and get a good spot for start.

Sunday Ride Jun 14---Nibong Tebal Trail

Hanya 6 orang menyertai kayuhan minggu. Tak tau apa sudah jadi kepada yang lain. Mungkin semua telah dijangkiti "boon's syndrome". Walaubagaimanapun, kami tetap meneruskan tradisi kayuhan minggu menuju ke NT jamboree trail. Seperti mana yang dijangka, trek NT agak mencabar terutamanya menharungi batu batu besar and trek yang tidak begitu rata. Setelah mengharungi bukit pertama, kami terus ke bukit kedua. Bukit kedua yang dipanggil bukit 3 ratus kaki agak panjang jaraknya berbanding bukit pertama tapi biasalah bagi member-member kami yang sudah biasa menaiki bukit itu beberapa kali. Sampailah masanya untuk DH. Kali ini, merasai DH NT Jamboree begitu mencabar sekali. Cerun yang curam desertai oleh tanah yang depenuhi batu kecil disetengah bahagian membuatkan trek it agak teknikal. Dengan berhati-hati, semua selamat sampai ke bawah and teruslah kami menuju untuk sarapan pagi. Selepas sarapan pagi, tibalah masa untuk balik ke OZE. Kami sampai di OZE lebih kurang pukul 11 suku dengan kayuhan ~50km. Puaslah kayuhan ini sebagai "warm up" untuk Jamboree minggu depan.

Hatyai Ride Update 5th Jun

6 crankies joined the Hatyai ride from Bukit Kayu on Friday. The event was organized by a cyclist in Alor Setar and ~50 particants joined the event. We departed from Sbr Jaya hospital ~4.15am and reached the border ~5.30am. We parked at duty free and crossed the border at 6.00am morning. We met all the riders and start cycling ~7.20am. After an hours plus, we stopped by for the famous chicken rice for breakfast. Then, we continued cylcing before we made another stop 4km from Hatyai. We waited half an hour there for everyone to arrive but seen like not everyone there. So, we decided to continue our ride. We arrived at the hotel ~11.00am and proceed to check in. We rented the roon for 4 hours with 6 crankies and the bike all inside the room. After the quick shower, we went out to visit few bike shops and lunch. We had ~2 hours free and easy and we went back to hotel for checked out ~3.30pm.
The journey back was very tough. It is very hot and strong head wind. We all suffered a lot from the headwind and have to make a stop for every 20km. Furthermore, the last 20km even more suffering where we have to climb through the hilly road. Anyway, we all managed to reach the border @7pm and procced to cross the border and back to Msia.
It is a good trip and we certainly look forward for next one. Thanks Michael from Alor Satr for organizing such a good event.
