Most of us arrived at the assembly area before 7.30am, but as usual, there were a couple of latecomers. Anyway, we departed the carpark beside the coffee shop around 7.45am. Before the start, we saw Yeap's secret admiree, the Pink Girlie. There were around 21 of us, including Danny Khaw, Pak Man, and some folks from Sg. Ara, who were supposed to be our guide. Alberto received a call from Ms Pink Girlie about 5 min into our ride and was told that Edmundo didn't switch off his Ferrari's headlights, and both had to cycle down to turn it off.
We waited for them and took some photograghs by the beautiful Air Itam Dam. On the way up to Hilton, all of us saw a huge blue/green colored scorpion. I'm pretty sure I could cycle uphill faster than DK if that bugger would have stung me. Not much happenings from the AID to Hilton, except that Ah Boon, as usual, liked to show off his skills and nearly fell. Someone forgot to inform Lim Guan Eng to clear the trail cos there were so many fallen trees blocking our way. Aparah....jalanraya pun tarak jaga, itu jalan dalam hutan, pokok jatuh pun tak mau kasi clear.....hehehe!
We waited for the rest of the team to catch up at the Hilton. While waiting, we met a couple of guys from KOTRT, including my man Adrian the Stud. After everyone has reached and taken some rest, we decided to head for Balik Pulau, thru the Mint Leave Garden and Iron Cross. However, upon passing thru the MLG, we realised that some folks were left behind. DK and a couple of guys tracked back and it turned out that Mr Senyum has used the wrong route and disappeared (must have quietly detoured and followed some chicks home.....). We waited and waited, and everyone got frustrated and mau balik lah.....so all decided to cycle back to Hilton and then downhill all the way to AID.
We had our breakfast at the Air Itam wet market and some of us took 2-3 plates of noodles to drown our sorrows for such a short ride on a nice Sunday morning. A number of the guys decided to head to Botanical Garden to check out the 4x4 road up to Penang Hill....not too sure whether they made it after whacking wan tan me, hokkien mee, mamak mee earlier.
